Make yogurt yourself with the yogurt maker JG 80 from Rommelsbacher - Instructions
For this recipe we use one of the two 1.2 liter glass containers
1. First fill the glass container with 1 liter of your favorite milk (fresh milk, UHT milk or similar) Ideally, the milk has a fat content of at least 1.5%. In order for the fermentation to start well, the selected milk should not come directly from the refrigerator. It is better if it is around room temperature.
2. Now the milk is vaccinated with the yoghurt cultures (lactic acid bacteria), i.e. the milk is mixed with bacteria that are typically found in yoghurt. This can happen with the help of so-called yogurt fermentation or fresh natural yoghurt. So if there is still some organic natural yogurt without additives, you can use it without hesitation. At least 80g should be used to inoculate a liter of milk with finished yogurt. If you use yogurt fermentation please read the instructions for these fermentation fermentation.
3. After the milk has been mixed with the yoghurt cultures, simply place the glass container in the yogurt maker. Place the lid on the glass container and also close the device with the corresponding lid.
4. Now the device has to be prepared: plug into the socket, switch on the device, set program 1 (yoghurt), press "start button". Now it's time to wait.
The great thing about yogurt makers is that from now on the production works automatically. While the fermentation is carried out by the device at the selected fermentation temperature and duration, you can deal with other things.
