Sparkling kombucha punch with melon, berries and pineapple – a burner for every party

Sparkling kombucha punch with melon, berries and pineapple - a burner for every party - the final

Hello my dears,

I’m having a couple of friends over tonight and I want to serve a special drink.

As many of my guests haven’t tried Kombucha before, I thought I’d make a fruity Kombucha punch.

You’re welcome to adapt the recipe – just use the fruit you like or go for a non-alcoholic option. I decided to use watermelon!

Every year about 100 tons of watermelon are produced. The main areas for growing watermelons are the United States, China, Turkey, Iran, Spain and Brazil. In Europe the main season is in the summer months, from June to September.

Fun fact: As its name already implies, the watermelon consists of 95% water and therefore contains merely 30 calories per 100g. Watermelon contains vitamin C and A, iron and fibres. The seeds also contain vitamins and can also be eaten.

How can you make sure that a watermelon is ripe?
It is important to buy a ripe watermelon as they do not ripen further after they are harvested. The colour of the skin is not an indicator for the degree of ripeness. That is why you should make use of a tapping technique: the watermelon is ripe, if the sound is dull and unripe, if there’s a low and hollow sound.

How do you store a watermelon that has already been sliced open?
Use a beeswax wrap to cover the cut surface and store it in the fridge, no longer than a week.

Once you’ve assembled the fruit for your punch we can begin:

For this easy sparkling kombucha punch with melon, berries and pineapple recipe you need those ingredients

    Hallo Petra,

die Bowle sieht superfruchtig aus mit richtig schönen Farben. Sollten
die Zutaten alle frisch sein oder kann man auch Tiefkühlobst dafür nehmen?

      Hallo Chris,

vielen Dank für Ihren freundlichen Kommentar.

Am besten ist natürlich immer frisch. Tiefkühlobst ist aber natürlich auch möglich.

      Herzliche Grüße senden Ihnen
