You already know that you can make your own selfmade water kefir with your water kefir crystals. But did you know that you can use your kefir for fermenting delicious juices as well?

No matter if you take grape juice, apple juice or orange juice: It works with any juice you like. You only have to make sure that the juice is fully organic without any additives and preservatives. It is very easy to make and the result is amazing. The kefir ferments the juice into an absolute tasty drink. A fizzy and sweet kefir lemonade made of your own favorite juice. Try it yourself!

Are you ready for ther recipe? Here it comes:

  1. Fill your juice into a glass bottle. If your juice already is in a glass bottle it’s perfect
  2. Shake the bottle carefully and open
  3. Fill in the water kefir crystals
  4. Close the bottle, make sure that Co2 is able to escape.
  5. Let it ferment 8-24h on room temperature or 1-2 days inside the fridge. The fermenting time depends on the temperature. Check out your drink hourly after 8hours to get the taste you like. Our drink during those hot summer days was ready sparkling, sweet and tasty after 8hours on room temperature.
  6. Make sure to control the pressure of your bottle now and then or close the lid until the first resistance for making the gas escape.
  7. When your drink is ready, just fill in a glass and enjoy
  8. Now you can use the water kefir crystals again for another delicious kefir juice lemonade

  • 1 Tbsp water kefir crystals

    Hallo Petra,
    da ich nicht zuviele Mitbewohner pflegen möchte (Sauerteig, Kombucha, Ginger Root Beer), kann ich auch die Ginger Root Beer Kristalle (zumindest einen Teil davon) zweckentfremden um damit Säfte zu fermentieren? Sind ja auch nur Wasserkefirkristalle, wenn auch mit spezieller Diäternährung…

      vielen Dank für Ihren Kommentar:-)

      Unsere speziell gezüchteten Ginger Root Kefir Kristalle können Sie auch verwenden um Säfte zu fermentieren. Fermentierte Säfte sind wirklich unglaublich lecker. Wir machen mosten immer selbst Apfelsaft und da wird auch reichlich fermentiert.

    Liebe Petra! Kann ich mein Ginger Roots Kristalle auch ohne melasse und Ingwer wie die „normalen“ wasserkefirkristalle ansetzen oder geht das nicht? Viele Grüße Kathrin

      vielen Dank für Ihren Kommentar!

      Sie können Ihre Ginger Root Kristalle auch ohne Melasse und Ingwer ansetzen. Funktioniert ausgezeichnet. Obwohl das Ginger Root Getränk ja im Prinzip von Melasse und Ingwer “lebt”. Um Säfte zu fermentieren klappt es auch mit Ginger Root Kefirkristallen.
