Kefir Cherry Banana Juice – a tasty popular drink with fresh Bananas and Cherries combined with sparkling Water Kefir

Dear Kefir friends,

A few days ago I was at a Cocktailbar with my friend. We both ordered a Cherry-Banana Juice and as always we were suprised and fascinated by its special marbled structure.

How could it be possible to fill banana juice and cherry juice in a glass without mixing them straight away together like other juices would do?

The answer was easier than expected: The order of mixing both juices in a glass is the solution of its magical appearance. First of all, you fill in the cherry juice before you add the banana juice. The banana juice is sinking to the bottom oft he glass because of its higher density and lets the cherry juice swim on top. If you stir the mixture now slowly for a few times, the cherryjuice get mixed with the banana juice during those handmade turbulences. This is where the Cherry-Banana juice gets it characteristic structure from.

The next morning I was asking myslef:

Is it possible to make a Cherry-Banana-Juice with Kefir? And how would such a kombination taste like?

I ran straight into my kitchen and turned on my Vitamix and this was the tasty result for all Kefircrystal-Lovers:

This is what you need for your Waterkefir-Cherry-Banana Juice recipe:

• 200ml organic water kefir- you can get your organic water kefir here*
• 1 ripe organic banana
• 1/2 glas of sour cherries
• meassuring cup
• mixer: I use a Vitamix you can order here*

Are you ready for ther recipe? Here it comes:

1. Fill all sour cherries in a mixer and mix them 30 sec. on a high level
2. Put the cherry mousse up to half in a glass
   
3. Peel Banana and add to mixer
4. Measure 200 ml of water kefir and add to the mixer as well
5. Mix Banana and Kefir for 1 min on a high level until it is foamy
6. Add the Banana-Kefir-Mixture to the cherrymousse and stir everything gently together untill it gets the characteristic structure. Now, enjoy your drink
