Today, I would like to show you a tasty Kefir Cake recip. You will be surprised how incredibly good a cake with Milk Kefir and chocolate will taste like.

This recipe isn’t only for chocolate lovers. Even critical cake fans will love this recipe.
Did you know that bakery products came from the old Egyptians?
In this time, making bakery products out of Grain was something very special. These products were sacrificed to their gods to thank them or even put into graves as provisions fort the long journey to the other side.
It took another hundreds of years untill the first Cake as we know today was created. Around 1600 the almond cake, filled with almond mass became very popular. But only years later around 19. and 20. Century the first Creme-, Chocolate-, and Cheesecakes as we know today appeared.
But now let us start with our tasty Kefir chocolatecake.
For this milk kefir chocolate cake recipe you need those ingredients
- 500g active milk kefir – you can easily buy our organic milk kefir here* – it is important that your homemade kefir is viscous. For how you can make viscous kefir click here.
- 200g sugar
- 1 egg
- 125ml plant based oil
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 350g flouer
- 2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
For the frosting:
- 500g low fat curd cheese
- 300g curd cheese half fat
- 10 tablespoons sugar
- 200g dark chocolate
- 100ml cream

Do you have everything? This is how to make your homemade kefir chocolate cake!
- Mix sugar,oil,egg,kefir,cocoa powder, flour and soda together until it turns out to be a homogeneous cake mixture
- Put the cake mixture on a large baking sheet with baking paper underneath
- let it bake in the oven 20 min on 200°C
- The cake ground should cool down to room temperature now on the baking sheet
For the frosting:
- Mix the lowfat curd chesse and half fat curd cheese together with the sugar
- heat up the chocolate with the cream in a water bath
- Mix the chocolate- cream mixture carfully underneath the curd cheese mixture
- Mix everything gently together and let the chocolate cream cool down in the fridge for 1-2 hours
- Put the ready cooled down chocolate cream on the cake ground evenly
Now, decorate the cake with grated chocolate pieces and serve the milk kefir chocolate cake, cut in small pieces, to your guests.

heat up the chocolate with the cream in a water bath
Mix the chocolate- cream mixture carfully underneath the curd cheese mixture
Mix everything gently together and let the chocolate cream cool down in the fridge for 1-2 hours
Put the ready cooled down chocolate cream on the cake ground evenly
