Hello my dears,
If you love ginger as much as I do then you will really enjoy this ginger Kombucha drink.
In my opinion, ginger goes with sooo many drinks or dishes
Ginger is native to South-East Asia and was traded to India and from there it made its way to Europe. The Latin term is Zingiber officinale, it is also known as rhizone or ginger root. The root is part of the ginger family, just as turmeric and cardamom. In the Middle Ages ginger was used to season food as a substitute for pepper.
Funfact: Did you know, that Confucius was a prominent supporter of the ginger root. He allegedly seasoned every dish with ginger.
Many of you surely find peeling ginger very annoying, well here’s a little advice:
The best way to peel ginger is to use a spoon. Take the spoon and strip the ginger of its skin, similar to peeling a potato, and the ginger will be free of its peel in no time.
A great thing about ginger is also the fact that, when it is stored in a dry and dark place, it can be preserved for a long time.
