Hello my dears,

thanks for joining me. While I was enjoying my morning coffee in the garden, I noticed all the green dandelion.

The bright colour caught my eye and I decided to make a green smoothie with the dandelion from my own garden.

In my opinion we pay far too little attention to the various wild herbs. The herbs are easily accessible and free, if you pick them in your own garden. For all those of you who are interested in the topic, here’s a book suggestion* about this topic.

As a child I thought that dandelion was a weed which had to be plucked immediately. Today, I have a different opinion.

The dandelion’s blossoms are great for making syrup or jelly. The leaves can be used for salads or smoothies. In Austria, dandelion salad is a delicacy.

Fun fact: During the post-war years, the dandelion root was roasted and used as a coffee substitute.

  1. Cut 2 apples into small pieces. You’ll puree everything later anyway, so just leave the core

  2. Chop the dandelion. Add it to the apples
  3. Add 2 tsp barley grass powder

  4. 100g fresh spinach, add to the mixer
  5. Pour in 100ml water and 300ml Kombucha

  6. Puree everything well

  7. Fill the smoothie into glasses

Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 100g dandelion
  • 2 tsp barley grass powder
  • 100g spinach
  • 100ml water
  • 300ml organic kombucha

Instructions
