Milk kefir – breakfast rice with fresh fruits and almond butter – Start your day with culinary delights

you want to start the day with full pleasure? Then today I have exactly the right milk kefir recipe for you. My breakfast rice with fresh fruit and almond butter is delicious and lasts for a long time.

This fruit bomb provides the best conditions for a fantastic start to the day. In addition, this breakfast will fill you up for a long time, so you have enough time for your to do´s in the morning, without getting hungry in between.

Tip: If you belong to the long-sleepers, you can simply cook the rice the day before and leave it with your own organic milk kefir overnight in the fridge. In the morning, add only the fresh fruits, almonds and almond butter. Let’s go to work …

For this delicious milk kefir recipe you need these ingredients:

  • 200g rice (I used whole grain rice)
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 apple
  • 6 strawberries
  • 2 slices of fresh pineapple
  • ½ star fruit (carambola)
  • 8 tbsp organic milk kefir* (you can order the starter complete set here*)
  • 1 handful of almonds* (you can order your own organic almonds here*)
  • 4 tbsp almond butter

Decoration:

  • ½ teaspoon chia seeds (alternatively some raw cocoa or cinnamon powder)
  • 2 slices of starfruit
  • 4 almondsk

You have all the ingredients ready? Then we start immediately:

  1. Cook the rice according to the instructions on the package.
  2. In the meantime, wash the apple and strawberries and cut into small pieces.
  3. Wash the starfruit and cut into thin slices (place 2 slices aside for decoration).
  4. Peel the banana and cut into thin slices.
  5. Peel the pineapple and cut into small pieces.
  6. Cut the almonds into pieces either by hand or with a knife. Place a few pieces for decoration.
  7. Put the rice in two deep plates and put your organic milk kefir on the rice.
  8. Then distribute the fruit on both plates. Likewise the almond pieces.
  9. Stir in the fruit and almonds under the rice and your organic milk kefir

Decoration:
Place the starfruit in the center of the plate, spread the almond slivers outside and lightly sprinkle with chia seeds.

    Hallo Petra,

    ganz dickes Dankeschön für Dein Rezept. Seit dem ich Brot von meiner Speisekarte verbannt habe, bin ich immer auf der Suche nach tollen Alternativen. Der Milchkefirreis ist jetzt ins Programm aufgenommen. Sehr lecker.
